Susan McGalla Helping Other Women Executives find New Opportunities for Success

It is difficult for women to advance in the career since they face more challenges than men. But, there are still many women who have fought all odds and managed to get the top position in their respective field. One of the people is Susan McGalla, the founder of P3 executive Consulting based out of Pittsburgh. She grew up along with two of his brother and her dad who was a football coach. She was made to work hard for everything she wanted to achieve and not given any leverage just because she was a girl. All of the experience she gained growing up helped her become successful in life.

Susan McGalla joined American Eagle Outfitters when all of their executives were men. Being the only women was not easy for her, but he managed to climb the ranks and became the President of the company in a short period. She established P3 Executive Consulting and also holds the position of Vice President of Business Strategy and Creative Development in a firm called Pittsburgh Steelers.

Susan McGalla is successful, but not every woman finds excellent opportunities to move forward in their career. There are very few support groups for women who want to share new ideas and get motivated by others success. But, with more effort, new platforms are coming up that allow women to interact with each other and learn from others. These networking platforms help women in finding new positions that would enable them to make their mark in the competitive business world. But according to Susan, these forums do not help solve the main issue that women are facing in the business world. Since there are fewer women in the business industry, there is a requirement for men also to provide the same support to women.

One way for women to find success in the business world is by breaking the gender discrimination cycle. There have to be more sponsorship programs for women initiated by other successful women. They can offer projects and assignments to other women executives and allow them to work on it as leaders. Susan McGalla is one of those women who has started the executive sponsors in her company to provide opportunities to other women to explore their strengths.
