Alexandre Gama was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has made many contributions to Brazilian culture in areas such as business, advertsing, art and music. Gama first started his career working under other executives and took small jobs in advertising agencies until 1999 when he decided to establish Neogama.
Neogama was first recognized for winning a Lion at the Cannes Festival when it had only been in operation for a year. No other companies in Brazil have managed to do this. In 2003 the company won an additional two Lions from the Cannes Festival and they were named Agency of The Year. Neogama has held partnerships with companies like BBH and Publicis Groupe in the past but currently remains a solo company with Alexandre Gama acting as CEO.
In addition to Neogama receiving a multitude of awards, Alexandre Gama has earned his own titles in the professional business world. He graduated from the Armando Alvarez Penteado Foundation with degrees in both advertising and communications. In 2006 he was recognized as one of the seven most influential and important businessmen in Brazil’s history. In 2006 he also received the title of Agency Director of The Year and a year later he was chosen as one of the top three advertisers in his country. Gama was also named one of the top ten most influential leaders in the field of communication in 2009.
Alexandre Gama has played a huge role in Brazilian culture. He has won a total of 23 Lions from the Cannes Festival and even had his artwork displayed at the Brazilian Art Museum. Alexandre Gama has also dipped his hands in the music industry and created VIOLAB, a unique acoustic instrumental guitar music project. Gama is a very creative individual who doesn’t plan on stopping his work anytime soon.
